Do I need a new HPOP?

?Hello world. I have a 04 6.0 crew cab 4x4 and I've lost power on my way home a few weeks ago. It'll crank up and idle fine but it won't go over 1800RPM without feathering the pedal. It won't rev if you stomp on it, you gotta eaaaase into it. The turbo still spools down and sounds like it should. Now, like many other 6.0 owners I've researched and tried the inexpensive options first. All the turbo connections/rubber hoses are new no cracks/leaks. I tried a new ICP sensor. No change. New intake sensor. Stuck a coat hanger down the breather hole for the MAF sensor on the valve cover, and replaced the 1/4" rubber hose. New IPR. Nothing changed. I changed the fuel filters, changed the oil, added some RevX. Still same symptoms. Tried reprogramming back to stock tune, tested FICM (48v) I'm lost...The truck has 175# injectors, 72mm turbo, blue spring kit, EGR delete, Studs, cold air intake, 4" exhaust to a bed stack, SCT with Looney Tune, So this leads me to think I'm looking at replacing the HPOP next. Possibly with a Terminator 500 or Adrenaline? I'm not sure. It's a late 04 engine with the ICP on passenger side valve cover. Any input would be appreciated. What do I need to buy next?

Re: Do I need a new HPOP?

Check the EBP tube on the driver's side exhaust manifold. Remove the sensor and give it a decent cleaning. Next, get a reader and see what your engine is actually doing, particularly your ICP and IPR numbers. It does SOUND like you may have a leak in your HPO system, or possibly a bad HPOP, but I wouldn't throw any parts at a 6.0 without first knowing what's going on. My ex's truck was having a random no start issue that made no sense to anyone. None of the diagnostics helped. Throwing parts at it didn't help (swapping out from a known good truck actually). It was through a single obscure code and a data line which made no sense that got me to thinking and lead to the real problem. Point is, meticulous examination of diagnostic readings will tell you what is going on, and get you running properly, much better than just throwing parts at it.
