springs

who all on here is running springs and what kind? i know cower has them and elite, but what is the difference to the behive design.. any advantages/ disadvantages. and elite calls for head machining on theirs... what is the reasoning, and is it necessary on the crowers?

Elite springs in my motor

2005 F350 Crewcab 4x4 6.0L
64mm turbo, NADP race tranny, tuning by Eric at Innovative Diesel

Work in progress.......
EDE heads, cam, pistons, hybrid injectors, Hypermax rods,
2 really big turbos and a whole bunch of other crap to come.....

Fire ringed you mean?? Hell no if that's what youre asking. Stock head gaskets on my truck!!

They are ported Elite heads with the heavy duty valvesprings I'm running along with all kinds of other Elite's internal parts

ok ok just been doind my research and its looking like i need springs before i start lifting valves, and elite calls for head machining to accept their springs.

i run a set of comp cams high load 4.6liter springs. works just fine.

lol why you gotta set me up like that. no i havent lol and i dont plan on it lol. i know a guy running almost twice my power now and is still on stock springs. thats one of the reasons i havent done it lol
