Axle Code

I did a search but I must be looking in the wrong place. Need some help on this one. 06 F350 with a code of 3L, nothing matches. Thanks

What does the rest of the tag read? It's most likely a 3.73 if it's a SRW truck. Should read 3L73 or similar.

On the diff cover bolts you should have a tag on each side. One should say "75-140 gear oil only" or something similar, and the other tag should have some numbers on it. IIRC it is on the second line it will read something like "3L73 10.5" or something similar. Those are the numbers you need, unless the gears have been changed.
