Depends on how its driven and how good the tuning is. Most will say 500rwhp is no problem at all and will hold up on a stock tranny. Some are higher... look at what the 6.4 guys are doing, essentially the same tranny.

Black smoke don't mean it's broke... it means your tuning sucks!

Ya the 6.4 tranny is a little different, convertor and a few internals I believe are changed.

From what I understand the pan and filter were a little different, and the TC had more bolts holding it, though I never heard of that being an issue on the 6.0!? Yes there are slight differences, but mostly the same tranny. Those are holding up to close to 600hp... for a while.

Re: How stong are these trans?

You know, I've been kicking around the tranny deal myself. Getting ready to get a good bit of work done to my run around truck and been kicking it around. I was SOLD on ATS until I started reading. Suncoast: I faxed them their info sheet a month ago and still haven't heard from them!! BUT, back to the point, I have yet to tear one up!

Re: How stong are these trans?

I busted my stock converter with maybe 15k miles of driving with just a tuner.
