Is the 5R110 in a 6.4L the same as a 6.0L?

I came across a few new trannys, 7C3P-7000-BC they were behind a 6.4L. Will they work behind a 6.0? I think the T/C is different but is the base tranny the same?

I don't have a 6.4L but I would'nt mind a spare for the 6.0's.

thanks
Jeremy

couple things are different depending on the years. the newer 6.4's got rid of the external filter and just run a better filter in the pan. the pumps and converters are different too. im sure you can make it work though.

i've always heard the main difference is the pan and the associated filter.

Shouldnt be a problem using it as far as I know...

The TC has additional studs IIRC. The rest should just bolt up. I did the swap over to the '08 pan and pan filter a while back with no problems.

You see, in this world there's two kinds of people my friend....those with loaded guns, and those who dig.

You dig.
