Most say to run stock, as its a great setup actually. I just got sick of paying the money to replace the filter, so I bought an AFE.

This site says S&B is popular, and other powerstroke sites seem to really like the AFE!? They're both really good filters though.

I personally use an AFE stage1, with the proguard 7 dry filter

Black smoke don't mean it's broke... it means your tuning sucks!

That P.O.S. (you say) is the best thing out there for your truck. When you step up the turbo and injectors THEN you swap out the intake.

You see, in this world there's two kinds of people my friend....those with loaded guns, and those who dig.

You dig.

Re: Best intake for 6.0

Best of the best is the Afe Stage II XP, but the best value is the S&B kit.

Honestly if you dont have plans to go over 500HP dont waste your money. The stock filter, filters better anyways.

I have the S&B, a great kit overall and a lot of turbo whistle!

Re: Best intake for 6.0

Why you changing the filter so much? I live in a area of DUST and my driveway is dirt aprox 1/3 mile..55k and its still fine.

We only carry the BEST parts and never compromise just to get a sale.

Dealer for: Full Force, Tymar, BTS, Icon, Pure Performance, TW tunes, just to name a few.
