cat delete pipe ?

I been searching a little while on this. i want to take out my cat. I already have a custom side pipe with no muffler. I know there are delete pipe. I know some 7.3 had no cat. Can i just get the pipe off the downpipe on the 7.3 to fit off the down pipe on my 6.0. Will it just bolt right in.
Thanks

Re: cat delete pipe ?

your best bet would be to get a aftermarket down pipe and a cat delete pipe at the same time, that way you will know they fit.

Re: cat delete pipe ?

You can get the 7.3L pipe, but I looked into it a while back and its almost twice the cost of a aftermarket delete pipe. I just bought a used stock exhaust for $75 and I plan to gut the cat and keep mine in case I need to put it back on later.

MBRP Inc Performance Exhaust - Snowmobile, Diesel, Muscle Car, Exotic, Motorcycle and Sport Truck Exhaust Systems.

This is what i will be getting, it goes with my 4" TB mbrp exhaust. Its cheap enough. Not sure how your set up is exactly but something like this may do the trick.

06' F-250 CC SRW 4x4, 6" fabtech lift, bilstien 5100 shocks, 4" MBRP TB no cat, ARP studs, 2 JL audio 10" W0, 20x12 weld cheyenne 8's, 35x13.50x20 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ

BNIB 6.0 head with all related hardware, straight from FORD. For Sale PM me offers

Re: cat delete pipe ?

only problem with his and just getting that pipe from MBRP is that its designed to work withe their turbo back exhaust system. He has a stock downpipe, the cat delete is made to work with a 3.5" DP, not a 3" stocker.

Re: cat delete pipe ?

The MBRP 3.5" downpipe and cat delete pipe will fit together having a 3.5" output end off the cat delete pipe. As long as his current setup isn't further back than the OEM cat end then it will all bolt up just fine.

You see, in this world there's two kinds of people my friend....those with loaded guns, and those who dig.

You dig.

Re: cat delete pipe ?

Go with a 3.5" downpipe. No performance difference between that and a 4" and it will fit a lot better and not rub the firewall.
