Stacking

MY buddy has an 06 6.0 with SCT with custom tunes from innovative diesel with eric's etreme race tune. He is thinking of stacking an MP8 with it. Anyone done this yet? What did ya think?

Re: Stacking

I thought the MP8 module was for common rails only?

Stacking is a BAD idea on a 6.0 anyways, and you can not "truly stack" a 6.0. Programmers just over-write the previous program, the only way to do it is to load something like an SCT, and then use a plug in module that stays plugged in. Its still a really bad idea. 1+1 does not always = 2 in these cases. The cylinder pressures would be through the roof.

Black smoke don't mean it's broke... it means your tuning sucks!

The MP-8 isnt a real good choice for the 6.0 tell him he'd be wasting money. Stay with the SCT or if he want's a TS product look into the 5X Downloader. I have it and love it!

Ok let me get this straight before it gets out of hand. This is a forum you've only been here for 2 months, before you start telling anyone you dont want to hear there thoughts on things, then dont bother asking. This is what the site is for, asking opinions and thought and what works and what doesnt. So if I were you take the advice these guys have, pretty sure they know alot more about what these motors are then you do.
