Exclamation Getting Started

Hello Gentlemen,

I have a '04 F250 2WD Lariat 4dr. What can I do (myself) to give more power. In other words, I just got a diesel and aside from exhaust and ram air what is it that is a DIY project for my truck.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Getting Started

I would start with a nice set of gauges. That is a good DIY project.

Most people do:

Transmission temp
Boost
Pyrometer

Most use a three pod set up for the a pillar. You can paint it to match your interior.

The pyro is a must if you plan on doing any sort of electronics for power.

First off thanks for joining us

What are you ultimate goals for the truck? A lot of towing, daily driving, etc?

I second what PTSUPERD said, that should get you headed in the right direction.

Re: Getting Started

Sorry for the delay,

Well I drive 100+ miles a day. Mostly interstate driving. I guess I'd like a little more "ummph" when I accelerate. Secondly, I'd like a little smoother ride. My truck rapidly bounces at 85. Not always, just sometimes. I'd just like not to run over a dime and be able to tell ya if its heads or tails :)
