Powermax or stock

So I've been looking for a new turbo since my old one is done. Im either going to buy a new power max or buy a stock turbo and sct x4. I already have a tuner sct Livewire but it has been giving me troubles and won't always load tunes. Or should I just buy the powermax and wait two weeks to buy a sct x4 and some custom tunes. Right now I'm running innovative tunes on my Livewire.

Re: Powermax or stock

Neither... ...

There are much better options out there. I would skip the stock unit because as long as you are getting a new turbo you might as well upgrade.

The powermax is a descent turbo once you put a billet wheel in it and get some custom tunes... but there are better options out there for around the same price. Also the box powermax with a cast wheel on stock turbo tuning can super super laggy and run hot.

Re: Powermax or stock

Yep, the tune I was running at the time was the original SRL+ written for my stock sticks/ turbo. I'm running 35" tires , that was done on Nitto trail grapplers
