Re: 6.0L turbo upgrade

I am planning on doing a Industrial Injection VGT stage 1 or 2. I like the drivablilty of a VGT so I think this is a good way to go. Plenty of guys on here have aftermarket turbos. They will answer your question soon enough...

Re: 6.0L turbo upgrade

If you are going to do it and stay stock injectors IMO I would stick with a VGT unit

Re: 6.0L turbo upgrade

i plan on upgrading to 155s, i was told either a 62 or 64 turbo would be good. I was also told that my factory turbo would be fine, but i think im going to upgrade to a bigger turbo, that way in the future if i decide bigger sticks, ill have the turbo.

06 F250 Lariat CC SB FX4 6.0, EGR Delete by FCDP , 58v FICM by Quick Tricks, Autometer Gauges (Boost, Pyrometer, Trans. Temp), SCT X3 W/ IDT, 4" TB Straight Pipe, S&B CAI, ZOODAD, Retro-Solutions HID Kit (4300k), CCV Mod, Coolant Filter

You'd still be fine with your stock turbo with those size sticks.

You can ask anyone that's been there and done that and they will tell you unless you are going for some serious power pulling or racing....keep it as close to stock as possible.

thats exactly what I told him.

Everybody gets wrapped up in big# (190-205) injectors..I try to steer people in the right direction..155's are a good size stick and flow plenty of fuel.

Agreed 100%. 190's are as big as you want to go in a daily driver, and honestly its a little big.

They will learn when they hook something to their bumper and melt their hood

I'm getting ready to buy a 28' fully loaded race trailer for the race truck and dread seeing what my egt's look like.

Shoulda stayed stock

WATER INJECTION, is your friend. My 24' carhauler shows 1150 empty at 65mph without it.

SOB...that's what I was worried about

I see around 900-950 at 65mph with my open trailer with a heavy box on the front.Probably 5K including the race truck so I'm screwed with a 28'er behind me with roof ac and all the cabinets.
