sct powerup msg timeout?

hey i just got a tune from rcd and loaded it onto my xcal. went to the truck to install it and plugged the module in, selected install tune, and it says turn key on. now it just sits there for a little bit then says powerup msg timeout. it says error reading dtc's and it cant read the strategy either. im in no way saying the tune from rcd has anything to do with, it just happened when i went to load this tune. anybody else ever have this problem, i've checked all fuses and the truck starts and runs fine. anybody? tia

might be a bad tuner, I suggest you call SCT in the morning.

Re: sct powerup msg timeout?

well its always worked before but i think i found the problem. the cable has always been loose where it comes out from the tuner, even when we got it back from sct from being unlocked almost two years ago. i guess it finally wiggled around enough and a couple of the wires came loose from the circuit board. now i just need to get them soldered back on.
