Re: injector rebuild

Nobody really , ford is still best option unfortunately there quality is not what it was a year ago. in an effort to reduce cost ford no longer replaces the spool valve, they only replace it "if needed" they lowered the cost 20 bucks now they reuse a bunch of parts like every one else

Fixing ford diesels since before they had turbochargers

Re: injector rebuild

I bought close to 400 6.0 injectors last year from ford iirc had 5 failures we installed 4 sets of performance injectors 1 of them is still running without failure. 2 have had injectors exchanged by the builder 1 over fueled melted piston 155/30.

Re: injector rebuild

yeah..there is NO good rebuilt 6.0L injector..

Ford Motorcraft are the ONLY injectors to build from...even if you want a modified set.

the spool valve is a POS design...and no amount of 'rebuilding' is going to bring the spool (to bore) clearance back..

it would be like rebuilding a low compression engine and not doing .010, .020, etc oversized pistons...

So far this year we've sold over 600 Motorcraft injs (or modified injs built FROM Motorcraft)..can't remember any having to be warrantied.

Unfortunately as of January of this year ford is now reusing spool assemblies.
