VDP aluminum degas bottle

I bought this bottle, my first impression is wow what a good quality product. The guys a VDP where easy to contact and deal with they were on top of any questions I had and gave me strait answer. They were also open to suggestions from me and built the tank to spec. I've gotta say I give them 2 thumbs up.
The tank was a little pricey but overall I was very happy with the finished product. The tanks come in just about any colors or finish you like even (sinister blue) it's really close. They start at around $325 plus shipping and go up from there depending on which finish you want. The reason I wanted this tank is that I was on my third plastic tank, the weak point where the lower hose connects keeps crack on me and the factory style caps are proven to fail. This tank comes with your choice of original factor style cap or an after market 16psi cap. Let me know what you think and if you have any questions.

Re: VDP aluminum degas bottle

They just crack at the bottom neck.... I'm also kinda lazy when doing service I hate having to move the degas bottle to remove to cai pipes so I wedge it around the degas bottle. We have a small diesel shop here you would be surprised how many if these tanks we see fail. We put a new tank on every truck we stud also. Lots of times a crack in the degas bottle will cause symptoms of blown head gasket puking etc. you should check yours look at the bottom of the tank where the hose connects. If it is white in the bend chances are you have a leak, the coolant falls down in the manifold and gets burned off
