Well my truck left me stranded for a few hours the other day would not start after shutting it off to fuel up. Long story short i sent my FICM out to ficmfixer.com and had it rebuilt and a 50ho viper tune installed. Got it back today and it fired right up. let it run for a bit shut it off it fired right up again.
So i headed into town and 15min later shut it off, not it wont start again when its hot. I let it cool down fired it up and drove it home. On the waycheck engine light shows its ugly face and code P0261 is what my SCT scanner comes up with.
I have had some peopel tell me its a HPOP issue and thats why it wont start when hot?
any help would be great. about to trade this thing for a cummings and be done with it!!!
What year truck? That is a contribution balance fault code for cylinder 1. It could be a HPO leak at the upper injector seal especially if its a early model truck. It also could be a fault code from stiction.
