Re: whats the best oil to run

now that question has pissin match debate written all over it. I think most run the 15/40 except a few make adjustments for cold winter. I run rotella, some run delo, but I sense an argument in the brewing. Might as well ask blond or redhead.

Re: whats the best oil to run

delo has the best additive package for a dino oil. I changed oil today and there was not one spec on the magnet on drain plug after 3500 miles. Thats what i use. Look up a thread on dieselstop it compares rotella, motorcraft, delo, and a couple of others.

I personally run the Delo as well, I run the 15/40 during summer months and then change to the 5/40 synthetic during the winter, seems to have a difference on cold starts with the lighter weight oil.

Re: whats the best oil to run

If you live south of Birmingham I'd run rotella T6 year round, I've experienced nothing but great results from it, anything north of us I couldn't tell you.

i use rotella t6. it 'alleviated' some stiction symptoms, not that it fixed anything, just does a lot better in the cold.
