Racor ccv4500

Trying to install this bad boy on my truck, I can't find a plug to fit the lower drain, anyone have any ideas? Has anyone installed one of these recently?

I have a complete new unit somewhere if I can dig it up I will measure it. You are wanting to know the thread size on the bottom drain valve? Heck, maybe the paperwork in the box might have a size listed! What size unit do you have? I know mine was the 4500.

It is the 4500, I've looked up all of their pdf's on this unit, all I can find is a drain hose kit, as you know most everyone mounts to the frame which is lower than the oil pan so the drain back kit is useless to me. I've torn lowe's apart for a fitting, to be more precise, the cap to go on the drain, nothing fit. I was planning on ordering the inlet/outlet barbs from racor so I'm not worried about that, it's that drain I need to figure out and at this point I'm wondering if a quick valve with a nut trimmed down on the inside may be the easiest way.

It is a big Mama Jama. I picked mine up used from a member on the ORG. He pulls them off buses before they get scrapped. I have a valve on mine to drain it. I copied his set up. It came with all the CCV hoses and I modified them to work and it came out fine. I had to cut the mounting tabs off to make it fit here.

Re: Racor ccv4500

Anyone know if that is a flare x male fitting? The picture sure looks like a 45 degree flare end. I show one in my catalog as a 3/8" flare x 1/4 male ball check valve.

Re: Racor ccv4500

I thought so too, but no flare fittings at lowe's seem to fit it, it's gotta be something else.

I'm over it, the fitting coming out of mine didn't have a valve and I couldn't find a cap so I ordered a F106 fumoto quick valve and the 106 extension that intend on cutting down to make a nut for the inside. Both came with gaskets, I'll be using those against the both sides of the filter housing.
