05 6.0 powerstroke NEED HELP!!!

My name is Robert. I have a 2005 6.0 super crew 4x4 king ranch with 230,000 miles and I just recently had 4in mbrp exhaust turbo back, blue spring upgrade, cold air intake, egr delete, new updated oil cooler, ford head gaskets, arp head studs, all gaskets from head gaskets up replaced, coolant filter kit, stc hpop update kit, all hydraulic lifters with valves and valve guides, updated dummy plugs and stand pipes, and replaced the ipr valve screen. I pretty much bulletproofed the truck just without the exterior oil cooler change. well it ran great for 2 months and now it starts up fine but idles extremely rough and sounds like it is missing. It runs better with engine hot but still has a slight miss/ vibration. I have no check engine codes and just had the ficm checked and it stays at 48v running and key on not running. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Injectors I haven't ever had a problem with them. I also run rev-x in oil and use ford powerstroke fuel additive with every tank. I change oil every 5000 miles and fuel filters every other oil change.

Sounds like stiction to me, more than likely your injectors. Do you have anyway of monitoring your fuel pressure?

I don't have any way to monitor that. I need to get some gauges

I would have to agree with the stiction and or fuel pressure related, may have to get it a contribution test and see if any weak/bad injectors.

Re: 05 6.0 powerstroke NEED HELP!!!

This happen to me when I put new injectors in. I disassembled the spool valve assembly completely on these two injectors. Those two I did that to had failure. It was Stiction on the spool valve. I used rev-x and it didn't do anything. You gotta hook up auto engenuity and find out which injectors have the stiction. Mine never threw a code with my sct. You gotta bring it to ford or use a scanner.

Once I found out it was those two injectors. I knew it was the spool valve. It ran exactly like that. Idol rough and when you come to a light you can hear the engine idiling rough. When I would hit 50mph to 60mph at 1800 Rpms to 2200 rpm the truck would run rough and with no power. At no other Rpms would the truck run like it had no power. It would make a wierd noise also at 50 to 60.

Oh yea my truck would run better when it was warm to.

Are those factory injectors? If they are that's about when they go out. Mine went out about the same time.

These guys know, they are real 6.0 guys.

With 230,000 miles, injectors are almost guaranteed to be the issue. Sounds exactly like stiction to me. That mileage on factory injectors is pretty good.
