225/100 injectors running hot

Has anyone ran 225/100 6.0 injectors and they are running hot? egts? oil temps?

I personally have 225/100 warren injectors, and ive heard people saying they run hot so they move up to a 285/150.

Ive tried to research this topic, and found that no one directly adresses this subject.

Re: 225/100 injectors running hot

i havent picked my truck up yet, but a friend from tsd was running the same injectors and they were running hot. The only diffence is i have a rcd thumper hpop which should help with the oil. He was not running any aftermarket hpop, and still is not.

he told me he recently moved up to 285/150s and they run alot cooler.

Re: 225/100 injectors running hot

Does anyone know if they make a coolant thermostat that goes lower than stock temps? Such as a aftermarket thermo. I've seen the oil ones, but do they make coolant thermo's?

Re: 225/100 injectors running hot

If your oil is getting hit I'd take a look at your oil cooler, all my temps stay in check except egts. Do you have any specifics of what your temps are hitting?

Re: 225/100 injectors running hot

I'm just worried about my coolant. I just got a new mishimoto radiator and intercooler that is going on my truck . That's why I was wondering about the coolant thermostat, and to help keep the temps lower.

My coolant sits about 206 and hits about 210, but I also have a crew cab dually. It hits 210 without towing . I haven't towed with it to read those temps. Those temps were without the new radiator. It is also without the new injectors to. Tsd said my truck might run a little hot because it's a dually and I got 35s on it.

Re: 225/100 injectors running hot

I'm also putting on a sinister oil cooler as we speak. So far I don't think the oil is getting to hot. Just in case I got the cooler.

Re: 225/100 injectors running hot

I would first check for a biased temp sensor. Also with diesels if you add more fuel without air, heat will be produced!
