Just got my sct

So I got my sct and been running it on performance mode but I am a grandma style driver with a occasional I wanna go fast moment. I have a 5 inch exhaust and I have my gauges on the way should I be worried about my stock head studs? On the forums everyone makes it sound like the stock ones are made out of glass are they really that bad? Thanks for the reply ahead of time

Re: Just got my sct

It all depends on how you drive it, if you race light to light your head bolts won't hold up for long. But if you drive normally than you'll be ok for awhile. Look into getting non studed custom tunes as well.

Re: Just got my sct

Cmey6.0 I have had a couple 6.0s now .. My last had 130k miles , custom non studded tunes written and driven hard for 2 years.. No issues.

My recent has 70k miles, ran it for 3 weeks/ a month on the sct canned performance tune babying it.. Popped the gaskets . Are the headbolts made of glass? No, should you respect them ? Yes. First things first, get custom tuning.

I've ran quicktricks and gearhead tuning.. I like both:
