Fu**ing Elite Diesel Engineering

A few months ago I purchased an SCT tuner and custom tunes from Elite, I also bought a FICM with matching insanity programming. From day one after starting the truck with the new FICM it loped while idling. ok I said lets rule out everything before blaming the FICM. Did my homework and found that it is definitely my FICM. Long and short of this story is that Elite will not call me back or reply to my emails. So I paid them $965 for a new FICM and programming that is now a paperweight and I can't get any support from them. All I got was my programming and products aren't the problem and now getting silence. Moral of this story is to not do business with them at all and tell all your friends to not do business with them. What a joke.

I have the same issue, I've been waiting on a core charge return since September 2013. I've called and left messages and also emailed with not answer. I'll never buy another thing from them.

Re: Fu**ing Elite Diesel Engineering

In October 2012 I had a run in with their service when my FICM died and I wanted a 50V replacement. I was under the impression (at that time) that Elite was doing their own FICM's not buying them from Swamps and reselling them. So I ordered one and 2 weeks later it finally showed up, with SWAMPS engraved in the test port window. Irritated by this because I could have cut out the middle man and probably a lot of time, I also sent in my core to get back the core charge, which proceeded to take about 4 months of me calling almost every week.

They absolutely need to work on their customer service, no question about that; However, their quality of product that THEY produce, is rather untouchable.

PS. If you want custom tuning, even FICM tuning.... IDP all the way, Eric is outstanding with his communication, and his employee's follow right behind him with that reputation.

Re: Fu**ing Elite Diesel Engineering

It's crazy, the amount of threads that pop up about this place, and ridiculous waits for parts. Wasn't that fuzzys69's truck there for like 8 years getting a motor built? Lmao!

2014 Ford Mustang GT, 5.0, Race Red, 6 speed

Re: Fu**ing Elite Diesel Engineering

How do they stay in business if all I hear it crap reviews about them. I will say that the truck runs like nothing I've ever driven with the insanity tune. I've had a few different tunes in it also. It just pisses me off that they get away with it. I just want my truck to run right and it sucks I've already paid for the parts to do that and now I have to buy the same parts again.

Re: Fu**ing Elite Diesel Engineering

A couple of the guys that work at Elite often frequent these forums (at least PSA, I've seen them a bit) so you're definitely raising a hot pink flag wit this thread. I would try to send one of the guys a PM and ask for some special attention in the matter.

It is not that they are looking to "screw" you or anyone. They're just not efficient at that part of the business.

I'll agree that they make a quality product but as stated the really suck at customer service.

Re: Fu**ing Elite Diesel Engineering

It's pretty much a trend with some companies in the diesel community. They make a decent name for their products, get too greedy for money and drop customer service.

The only way to get their attention is to stop buying their products.

You see, in this world there's two kinds of people my friend....those with loaded guns, and those who dig.

You dig.

Re: Fu**ing Elite Diesel Engineering

If they had any brains about business they would realize that a VAST majority of their business would be returning customers and customers that had been recommended by other customers. One time only customers is a good way to barely make your overhead
