Cb antenna mount

Hi y'all, is anybody running these mounts? I was wondering if they will work with my 04 and the stock plastic bed rail protector? Firestik SS294A Stake Pocket Pickup Truck CB Antenna Mount

If anybody's got pics of them installed that would be great. Thanks

Re: Cb antenna mount

Run an extra ground wire to the frame or bed. Ensure the grounding point is clean and making good contact. I like the thru roof mounts myself. For my set up the guys in NJ, RI, and Pacific Northwest seem to hear me just fine on a good day.

You see, in this world there's two kinds of people my friend....those with loaded guns, and those who dig.

You dig.

Re: Cb antenna mount

Yeah stake pocket suck. They look the best but are not the best. It messes with the ground plane. Your best option is a roof mount, first a perm. then a mag mount.
