6.0 heads

I got an 05 6.0. And I need another set of heads are 06 heads the same and direct fit for an 05? Or are they a little different.

Any of the heads will fit. The only difference might be the alignment dowels.

I recommend getting the ARP studs while your at it if you don't already have them.

I have them already they were on old heads

I recall the Ford head gasket kit now has both sets of dowels. So no matter what heads are used you have the parts to make them fit.

trucks built after 1-15-06 have 20mm dowel pins the bolt pattern for rocker carrier is also different. 20mm heads really should use 06+ rocker carrier you don't reuse any bolts to hold down the carrier but they are used for proper alignment

The rocker box on the later models just don't use all the bolts. Still interchangeable.
