6.0 power stroke 5in center dunk vs. Brothers

I have a 2006 6.0 powerstroke crew cab short wheel base. Yesterday I installed my 4in down pipe, 5in turbo back exhaust. Its a center dunk. We'll I haven't tuned my truck, but i have a Sct live wire. An I have a airaid intake on it which i'll be swaping with a S&B dry intake. I'm waiting on my egr delte and headstuds before i tune it. But, anyways, I thought my exhaust would be louder then my brothers 2006 6.0 powerstroke crew cab long bed. With just a 5in exhaust turbo back with a 8in tip. Custom tuned, bullet proof egr cooler, headstuds,MTW stage 1 upgraded turbo with no billet wheel?

I'm sure my truck would be louder when I get my 8in tip becuase it will be closer to the ground echoing? Am I right?
I'm just not sadisifed with the sound, its not as loud taking off like my brothers? Any input would help? Will my truck get his same sound affect or be louder after I do my tip,egr delete, tuner?

I just don't have the 6.0 5in exhaust loud bark like he does. That's what I really want, my bark is not as loud. Which I believe it should be since it's a center dunk and should be echoing off the ground constily. But I guess I'm missing something

I think your looking a little too hard into this. The turbo could make a difference. But how bout worrying about getting them studs in there than how the truck sounds, but i do wish you luck in the search for that perfect rumble from your truck

My completely stock truck with a 5" kit like yours is actually louder tuned than it is on stock programming. Stock, or with a tow file loaded, it gets loud....but load a bigger tune and mash on the pedal, and it's quite a, well lets just say "significant" difference!

Tuned 6.0's are definitely louder. Secondly, why dump your exhaust under the truck? That's silly, you just paid hundreds of dollars for that exhaust, and now you can't see it, or hear it the same. If you got a normal exit tailpipe and a 7-8" tip, you would have an amazing sounding truck

I only spent 300 on my exhaust? I make my own 2 45 degree cupliers and 1 90 degree with about 7-8ft of pipe with a down pipe. It looks sweet.

I only spent $310 on a complete 5" kit, turbo back. Exhausts can be bought cheaper than most people think...unless you want stainless...then it gets pricey.

Yeah but the stainless they sell you is not true stainless. If you buy stainless your a idiot. I know Bull dog use to make a true stainless, but it was for a dodge 5.9 and since it was true stainless it was 1500.00
