Update/Upgrade time........

Hey gents!
Been following for some time now. Great informations here!! I love it!
That being said, I figured Id run some stuff by yall....
About ready to perform an update/uprgrade to the ole 6(uh)Oh and would greatly appreciate some input.
Still awaiting parts, but this is what Ive got coming so far.....

Flush & fill kit
Coolant filter (Sinister)
Fleetguard restore & restore plus
Stant Thermostat (192 deg.)
Blue spring upgrade
EGR delete
ARP head stud w/black diamond hg's
oil cooler replacement
Oil filter Rotella T-6 5w40 syn
Rev X Oil add
Rev X Fuel add
6.4 banjo bolts

Obviously going for a full coolant flush & backflush, oil & filter replacement as well as the upgraded parts and additives.
This is all I can afford at the moment.
In time I will be getting the SCT tuner, Per Jfarmer86 and many others recommendations but for now, this is going to have to do.
Any advice, opinions, thoughts?
I will more than likely be doing this with the cab on

Re: Update/Upgrade time........

Big negative on the black diamond gaskets, go with OEM gaskets. I would also go with a oem thermostat also.

Studded and Deleted
5 inch axle dump
Back Road Performance Tuned
Barder Stage 2

Re: Update/Upgrade time........

Do the black diamonds not hold pressure as well as OEMs? Only have them because they came as a package deal.

Re: Update/Upgrade time........

A lot of guys on here have re blown head gaskets not using OEM. Play it safe and spend the couple extra bucks up front. Everything else looks great to me good luck with the upgrade. When you get your SCT I reccomend Drew and backroad performance has great customer service and custom tunes.

Re: Update/Upgrade time........

x2 for the OEM headgaskets and thermostat!

I just got back from my 2,200 mile round trip, over the mountains and through the woods. after bulletproofing my Ex'

Coolant temp never left 191!

You might want to wait on the rev-x when using the T6, just to see if you like it without.
