Age Old Oil Debate

I have seen a few threads about oil being used in the 6.0 engine & i just have a few questions or concerns. what should i be running? being from Illinois, you all can assume the temperature extremes here. ive been using rotella 15w-40 on my 2006 since i got it used at 90000. its now at 130000 & i just recently switched to Shaeffers 15w-40? any thoughts or opinions?

I prefer synthetics myself. Most anything you find on the shelf in the local big box stores works just fine. We could nit pick the pluses and minuses but pick what you want.

My go to list: Mobil 1, Delo 400 LE, Valvoline Extreme Blue, Rot T6 All easily found at most Wally Worlds and they even sell Motorcraft filters.

You see, in this world there's two kinds of people my friend....those with loaded guns, and those who dig.

You dig.

I've always ran Amsoil in all 5 of my trucks, and used Blackstone labs for oil analysis. Buy the best is my motto.

Re: Age Old Oil Debate

I used to run T6. The injectors didn't like it much.
