Couple ?'s on Tunes/Studs/Head Gaskets...

Like the title says I've got a couple concerns on modding my truck. It's an 04 F250 SC SB FX4 with 158,XXX.. So far I've added straight pipe (3.5"), and a drop in AirRaid dry filter. I want to add a Livewire TS with custom tunes in the worst way ha.. When I bought the truck from a local Ford Dealer I had them pull the carfax on it and it shows where the truck was worked on under warranty with 17,000 miles on it.. The transmission was replaced,Head gaskets and studs, and FICM was replaced.. With all that done 140,000 miles ago it hasn't had any other major work done. Do y'all think it's be safe to run custom tunes on it? It's mostly a daily driver that'll occasionally pull our camper and tractor and equipment once deer season gets here.. Thanks for the input

It did have the gaskets and bolts replaced but I'm assuming it was OEM Ford products.. Not certain about that though.. Does that make a difference?

There's a big difference between a truck that has factory head bolt and aftermarket studs. Factory head bolts are weak and let the head lift off the block easier than studs do.

2004 6.0 ccsb Warren 430/150 hybrids, Warren Comp Trans, Warren Dual Hpop, Billet S475 w/race cover, Marty's A1000 Fuel System, Colt Stage 2, and all the other supporting stuff

Re: Couple ?'s on Tunes/Studs/Head Gaskets...

I reckon I'll just have to put the funds back for ARP studs and another set of gaskets, just in case.. Because I'm definitely throwing a tuner on it. Ordering it Friday.. Now I have to decide which tunes to get.. I've searched and read and searched some more and I really can't find any bad things about any of the more popular ones used on here. Any personal preference of one over the other?
