Re: 5in down pipe?

You will need to trim the firewall pinch weld. How big of a turbo you gonna run??

You see, in this world there's two kinds of people my friend....those with loaded guns, and those who dig.

You dig.

I helped a friend put a 4 inch one on his 6.0 and it was really tight, you'd be hard pressed to fit a 5 inch without modifying the firewall like stated above

'05, CC, SB, 4X4 6.0L, Studded, EGR Delete, Warren 175/50's, Garrett Powermax, S&B intake, MBRP 5" straight pipe, SCT w/custom tunes from Innovative. Dyno'd 590hp/1019tq<-----Moved on

'15, CC, SB, 4x4, 6.7L........bone stock

Amateurs will practice until they get it right, Professionals will practice until they can't get it wrong.

Re: 5in down pipe?

It's VERY hard to fit a 5in down pipe in there. As mentioned it will have to either get squashed some to fit between the firewall and up-pipes or you'll have to trim the firewall. I can assure you that the ONLY way I'd waste my time with a 5in down pipe is with a compound turbo system. The 6.0 can't move enough air with a single turbo, regardless of how big of a single turbo you stick on it, to require a 5in down pipe.

IMO it would be a waste of time and money. 4" will be plenty for a stock charger.

Re: 5in down pipe?

Innovative did some dyno comparison on the 3.5 down pipe and 4". Said there was no gain going to the 4" over an aftermarket 3.5 into what ever size exhaust you choose.

S&B CAI, MRBP 4" exhaust 3.5" down pipe, SCT LIVEWIRE TS,Innovative tunes(xtreme street and race), Innovative FICM Programmer, blue spring upgrade, 2.5" Carli Leveling kit, 18x9 BMF Novakane Death Metal with 35x12.50 Toyo MT's 3:73 gears.

Re: 5in down pipe?

I gained about 100 degree drop in EGT's when I went from stock (3") to a 4" DP. Turbo seems to spool a little quicker too. 3.5" to 4"... Not sure how much of a difference there is.
