So I was wondering if anyone has tried out quick tricks new tunes? I'm currently running the looney stock hg's and egr and I love it runs like a champ. Just wondering if there is anyone out there running the new files?
I personally don't think it's to smokey but there def is smoke before the turbo cleans it up. In my truck it's not as light switchy as some other tunes I've tried. There is def a sweet spot where it opens up though. Once you hit that sweet spot it takes off but there is a lot left for power if you go wot.
Hope that helps
That was my first tune. It's fun the light switch effect got old and the shifting was a little soft. I guess I could of just adjusted the shift firmness through the SCT but just decided to try different tuning instead. Glad you like it.
I ran some of Vivian's tunes in the last year, and they were pretty good. Looney was pretty good except she sent me an unstudded version not studded. I thought the shifts were soft and she locks out the provision to go in and change the shift firmness. I also have 3 tunes from Matt at Gearhead and I run the srl tune with the tranny increased my 5% except the 3-5 shift is 20%. I've towed in srl with a 16000lb trailer, 190/75's and an II hybrid turbo.
I spent almost an hour and a half on the phone with Vivian discussing tunes yesterday. She told me that the majority of her customers have reported that there is no light switch effect anymore. Of course that is what she said and I'm not sure its true. I'll be trying out the Looney wild again in another month. I'll be sure to let everyone know.
I'm still trying to work the kinks out of my street runner with drew. I have weird shifts around 30-40% throttle. His customer service has been great I haven't loaded the tune back in since I've been doing a bit of hauling.
I guess you could call the powerband on the looney kind of light switchy but there is still a lot of power left if you open it up. They all seem to have that effect in my personal experience.
