Head studs

Does anyone have a pic of what head studs look like compared to the bolts so I can look and tell to see if I have them done

Look on drier side between battery and degas bottle. There will be a nut screwed on a bolt if it's a ARP if it just a bolt then it's just stock.

78 F-150 300 straight 6, 3 on the tree
03 F-250 6.0 Play toy
06 F-250 6.0 (general nightmare) 2.5 pulling truck
12 F-350 6.7 Tow rig

The ARP studs also have a 12 point head and the stud has a hex indent. Factory bolts will have a plain 6 point head.

my ARP's have a allen head slot in the middle of the stud as well.

Bolt is just like it sounds, on the bottom of your valve cover there will be a 6 pt. bolt. If it's a stud, there will be a 12 pt. nut on a stud.
