Cool Just bought 6.0 powerstroke, questions on tuners in truck

Hello all, I am making my return to the power stroke world as I just sold my 2005 dodge ram 5.7 in favor of another much desired diesel truck. So I just bought my first 6.0 powerstroke. Its a 2005 harley edition f250, ARP headstuds, ford gaskets,EGR delete, 180k miles on the truck. I test drove the truck and their was an Edge cs mounted on dash, I then opened the center console of the truck and bam theres an SCT x3 tuner in there sitting in the package. I asked the salesman if they both come with truck and he says yes. So my question is do I run one or the other? or both? do I set the Edge to power level stock and use it strictly for a monitor while Im using the SCT? or are they both able to be run at the same time? Im most likely going to keep it on stock power level for a bit and use it strictly for a monitor so I can get a feel for how the truck runs in stock form before I go beating the bag out of this thing. Excuse my lack of knowledge with these OBD tuners as I come from a 7.3 truck(before the hemi) that had a 6 position chip that was plugged directly into the PCM, this was a simple turn of a knob and that little knob grants you an extra 140hp. Im sure the OBD port tuning on these 6.0's is just as simple I just need to learn how to use it. The truck has a coolant filtration system, MBRP exhaust(with a muffler, which will be leaving soon) EGR delete, and then obviously the Edge CS and SCT tuner. Truck is still equipped with stock intake, should I ditch it and install a nice cold air intake? or is there more important money to be spent elsewhere? The truck drove amazing and is one of the cleanest trucks Ive seen in my area in a long time, definitely am happy with my purchase. Man I sure missed driving a Super duty!

-Edge Evolution CS
-SCT X3 with custom tunes
-4 inch MBRP exhaust
-ARP headstuds
-bypass coolant filter
-EGR delete

So if I were to tune it with the sct I would just unplug the edge, plug in sct, upload tune then unplug it and plug the edge back in?

Exactly you hit the nail right on the head. Don't use the edge for anything but monitoring they cause a lot of issues in 6.0 with tuning.

Yeah I definitely wouldnt use it for tuning Id rather run the truck stock or with the SCT but I do have to admit it is a badass monitor/diagnostic device. the trucks got an egt probe too so its allset to go. Where can I get ahold of some good custom tunes for this thing?

Back road preformance gor tuneing.
Innovative ruined my transmission..

Stat with the stock donaldson air filter. Good up to 550+ hp. Dont waste the money on cold air intake.

Heavy foot will ruin any stock transmission lol
Custom tunes still need to be tweeked for each truck
All the 6.0 truck are programmed different get the tune
Make a record log send it back they will adjust it for your truck
Eric at innovative is easy to deal with they have a three tune package for $165. I suggest the extreme tow, extreme street from them. I would also get the super panty dropper from TSD, Chris is prom and very knowledgable his spd tune is bada$$

Everytime I needed a tweek allways wantted more and more money.
His shifts sucked. Point blank

Buddy of mine had his stage 4 tune by eric and he made his turbo boost to something like 70lbs boost Which is unacceptable
