scan gauge 2 side port

Ok tried to day to run my scangauge plugged into the OBD2 connector and plug my live wire into the side port of the scangauge no power what so ever. So I guess I have to buy a Male OBD2 plug to two female ones to run both at the same time any one else have this problem.

Re: scan gauge 2 side port

I think you can run both but like you said you just need a splitter at the OBDII port. I don't think you can run it off the side port from the scanguage II it is to be used for tethering between two scanguages. The protocol between your live wire and the scanguage is going to be different.

Re: scan gauge 2 side port

they may have a conflict . I also run a splitter but my CTS will conflict with My A/E but it was worth a try
Amazon has the splitters at a decent price,, I bought Mine from ScanTool
