Turbo Question

My factory turbo is on its way out. I have it under warranty, but when it does go I'd like to go aftermarket. My truck is all stock minus exhaust for now. Maybe doing intake, but definitely an SCT from IDP in the somewhat near future. Also injectors, nothing crazy though. Looking to make 400-450 HP when I'm done. So what turbo options do I have to put on a stock truck, but not completely kill its drivability in stock form? I was leaning towards powermax, but want to get away from VGT

Re: Turbo Question

You could get a MTW stage 1 with 155's. You would be right around 500hp. From what I have read it would be a pretty good combo if your looking for moderate power

Re: Turbo Question

Yes a MTW Stage 1 is about 2/3 the price of a Pmax, spools just as fast if not faster than stock. With 155/30s and a good agressive tune, you should be at mid to high 400s easily if not REAL close to 500hp. JMO and hope it helps.

Cheers

Yes they did (it was 473hp with a Stage 1, Matt's SRLX, and Bill's Hercules FICM tune) but I like to be conservative so folks dont get unrealistic expectations and end up having their truck not perform to them and end up disappointed.
