Re: New 205cc injectors

ah...you sure you're looney wild is maxed out for those injectors? Because guys are hitting 1600*+ with just an SCT with custom race tune on stock turbo and stock injectors. I'm willing to bet that your tune isn't maxed out or your EGT gauge isn't reading right.

2004 F-350 SC 4x4 6L....little bit of this...little bit of that

Re: New 205cc injectors

Yea I bet you're right Chris. I have 190s and with a turbo that was just slightly larger than stock, I could hit over 1700F with my Xtreme X on a WOT run just from 40-80 mph. It also smoked some SERIOUS coal too.

Re: New 205cc injectors

1700F is high for sure. This was with a VGT turbo that is essentially the same size as a Powermax turbo. I am sure if you talk to guys that have a PM, 190s, and a 0-2000F pyro gauge; they'll all say the same thing.

Re: New 205cc injectors

1700 degrees is like stupid hot I can't believe it's gettin that hot on you, metal starts turnin red around 1500 so I'm sure your turbo is cherry red after that run

Re: New 205cc injectors

No not really because I only did it for like a few seconds so the metal never really had a chance to really get the temperature it was at to go up much before I was off the throttle and EGTs were on their way back down.

I can tell you there are A LOT of guys who just run a 0-1600F and "peg" their gauge so they dont know what their temps are getting to. It could very well be hotter than 1700F for all they know. JMO.

Re: New 205cc injectors

Oh I'm not sayin your lying or anything, I heat treat metal for the company I work for and believe me 1700 is ridiculous hot, I would be scared if I veer saw mine peg that high, but then again I'll prolly nvwr see that with stock injectors and stock turbo
