Re: Exhaust and Air Intake

Yea it all depends on your goals for the truck. IMO if all you plan to do is exhaust, tuner, EGR delete, and studs; then I would just leave the oem filter on there. BUT if you are gonna go with bigger injectors and I mean even as little as 155s, I would upgrade to either a S&B (I really like theirs and it looks and functions well. I have one ) or AFE Stage 2 (make sure you get the one that is in the sealed box to keep out engine heat.

Now for an exhaust either MRBP or Magnaflow. Great sound, great fit, and great looks. Function and style bro.

Re: Exhaust and Air Intake

Yeah I would like to keep going with the truck as I have the funds. I want a fun quick truck that is a towing machine. If that is possible. Thanks for the info.

Re: Exhaust and Air Intake

I know a lot of guys are hung up on the stock filter being good to the much quoted 500hp but I have spoke with guys that have ran better hp numbers on the dyno with stock injectors, tuner, and exhaust by just switching out to something like a S&B. The only down side is you have to service your vehicle like once a year (~12000 miles). IMO I would just go with the S&B and either a MBRP or Magnaflow exhaust. JMOs.

Re: Exhaust and Air Intake

Another vote for magnaflow. I run a 4" with a cat delete an it sounds pretty mean

Re: Exhaust and Air Intake

It made a huge difference when I put the volant CAI on mine. I like the huge filter on the s&b's!

4'' exhaust, egr delete, upgraded oil cooler, arp studs,50mm BOV, volant CAI, 66/73/.91 turbo, 205/100 injectors, crossover fuel line, airdog II, sct by TSD & ID, high idle mod, nitrous express with .092 jet, 26 GPH water/meth, ats stage 3 tranny, king Ranch front and rear captins chairs, and of course kicker sound system
