Digital gauge

I'm looking to monitor my truck but not a big fan of the pillar full of gauges. I've seen the digital monitors and I like the look of them. Anyone have one that they suggest over the other? I have a sct so I'm not like for a tuner just the display so I can keep a eye on things

Thank you
Danny

Re: Digital gauge

there are apps you can get for android or Iphones, that use a basic dongle in the OBD II port. the one I use is called Torque, and lets me monitor any value that the ECM can see. my dongle is the cheapie for 30 bucks, spend 150 on a more expensive one and get faster readings. so far other than sluggish tachometer readings it does everything plenty fast enough. it also can read and display all your acceleration/deceleration times and distances, and read codes. handy little program. the app itself is 5 bucks

Yeah I was thinking either the ct or cts and it looks like I'd have to get the egt accessory to see the egt's. Is that correct? Do either of those read fuel pressure right out of the box?

Re: Digital gauge

you need a separate sender for fuel psi

I choose to use a small standalone digital guage for fuel and another for egt

then the CTS is freed up to read other items and I didn't have to spend money on the edge proprietary expansion items

Re: Digital gauge

i know torque started out android only, but i thought he was branching out. 50 bucks sucks to be you I phone guy J/K
the phone apps are not really able to add on extra sensors, so if your ecm doesn't read EGT or fuel pressure you're going to need separate gauges for that.

Re: Digital gauge

I use a ScanGauge II. It reads everything I need except for EGT's. I'm still looking for a good out of the way location to mount that gauge that is not on the pillar.
