Truspeed kit

Has anyone used a super lift truspeed speedometer recalibration unit to reset their speedometer? I was thinking of getting one but was wondering if they work.

Re: Truspeed kit

i ran the true speed on my 02 tahoe i had, calibrated the tires fairly niceley, not sure but i want to say that it may only work up to a 35 (been a couple years since i had messed with one) if you are running a tuner or programmer should be able to calibrate it with that as well.

completley stock truck...just a simple cat back system....and maybe a few other odds and ends

Re: Truspeed kit

I posted this in your other thread too. Please don't create multiple threads on the same topic in the future.

There is really no reason to buy one. It is an inline translator to correct for tire size, but you can just reprogram the ABS module for your correct tire size instead. A dealership can do it for about the cost of a TruSpeed, or (a better option) is to put that money into getting an AutoEnginuity Ford bundle which can do it. Or find someone that already has an AE and trade them a case of beer :)

Re: Truspeed kit

Sorry for the multiple tread, my dealer here in town said they couldn't help me. Guess I'm buying a tuner or AE sooner than I wanted. Thanks for the info

Re: Truspeed kit

Did they say why? Sounds like a pretty worthless service department...

Re: Truspeed kit

I’m running a truspeed, it works great. Takes some work to install had to remove the driver’s wheel well to get at the abs module.
