Question solenoid?

so what i thought was a sticky turbo i think is turning out to be the vgt solenoid. i was driving down the road and i set the cruise control when i heard the pitch of exhaust tone change. i look down and my display and it told me i was running zero boost at 1900rpms cruising down the road. then after a couple minutes it came back. what do u guys think??

Re: solenoid?

sounds like my 03 turbo when i put it on, switched the EBP cleaned the tube and swapped with a good vgt solenoid. Ending up needing it rebuilt, hope thats not the case for you

Re: solenoid?

It's your VGT Solenoid. Had the same problem in my old 05. Cost me about $90 on ebay for a new one shipped to my door. Took all of 10 minutes to install and it worked like a charm.

2006 F250 6.0L Powerstroke: 2008 interior, 2008 rear, 6.4L Banjo Bolts, Blue Spring, MKM Customs coolant filter, ELC, BPD EGR Cooler, ARP Headstuds, HFCM Drain Plug, Zoodad Mod, High Idle mod....needless to say its bone stock.
