egr problem

i have the egr delete kit with the uppipe just have not had a chance to put it in ,the truck has been running like crap lately and i was wanting to know if i can just pull the egr value and put the alum. block plate on it until can get every thing else on?

You mean that flat chunk of polished aluminum that comes with the EGR delete kit to cover the hole once you pull the EGR valve?
Uhmm, yeah, you could, but if it ran, it would REALLY run like crap.
By removing the valve, you would be effectively opening up the passageway that the exhaust gases travel when the valve opens. You would accomplish exactly the opposite of what your shooting for.

If it runs like crap, address that before anything else.
One thing I have learned is that a problem ignored costs a boatload more money by the time you decide to "get around to it."

I welded mine shut until I can afford the parts to elimnate it.

2006 F-250 CC SB 4X4, all stock with egr system for now.
