Question Installation Costs

So I recently came across some money and plan on bulletproofing my 6.0. So a 5" exhaust system, ARP head studs (and performance head gaskets), egr delete, and a tuner all for around $1700 (over various web sites), now I am wondering, on average, how much will the installation cost (or how much do you think it will, or should, cost me)?

egr delete is cab-off procedure, no? im thinking about egr delete but i think i will do dpf delete first. why are u choosing egr first, or do u already have dpf done? im trying to decide what i should do first?

I'd stick with OEM headgaskets too. Out of all of this, really focus on the headgasket job and making sure it's done RIGHT. Get the heads to a shop that has worked on them before.

Black smoke don't mean it's broke... it means your tuning sucks!

Re: Installation Costs

Yeah, I probably won't end up getting the after market head gaskets, its another $200/300 anyways. But does anyone know of a good diesel mechanic on Long Island that would do this work?

Re: Installation Costs

I think you are going to have to travel to ensure the work gets done right, i went 7hrs away in order to do just that. Our area NJ, NYC, LI, RI does not seem to have the aftermarket community and shops as other areas. As soon as you get south of say Maryland, is when it seems shops start sprouting up for what your looking to do. At least thats what i have found, if i'm mistaken and someone knows of a 'reliable' place..i would love to hear it
