it's alot easier if you do use it. Here's a pic of mine. I used the ITP(strickly diesel) fuel pressure adapter line on my aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. It comes with a fitting that'll screw into the factory fuel pressure regulator cover. Makes it easy IMHO.

No the adapter is not need but it keeps the sender away from the heat and viberation of the motor.

Re: Fuel pressure gauge install

I installed mine in the service port at the fuel bowl. Friend made me an adapter and bought the SS braided line from Diesel Manor. I believe I saw the adapter on Diesel Manor's website as well.

Re: Fuel pressure gauge install

An adapter is needed it's metric threads to NPT (american)
m12 1.5 male oring to female 1/8 npt
and the adapter with the hose helps if your sender is big or sensitive to heat /vibration

Re: Fuel pressure gauge install

I ended up getting the one from Strickly Diesel. Anyone know if it has a plug for the tee? I dont plan on putting a gauge under the good at this time.

The T should have the line come in from your housing, and on the opposite side I believe its left open for a gauge sender to be screwed into. The other part of the T is capped. I think its for an electronic gauge

Re: Fuel pressure gauge install

there is only one opening on the T...and it's for the sending unit. The top part is the schrader valve to bleed off any air that might be trapped in the line.
