Shift Flare

Noticed a slight flare in shifts 3-4 under WOT. Is this a symptom of other problems or is my trans just not able to keep up with mods? Is the direct solenoid the fix for this?

Re: Shift Flare

For the $100 for the solenoid I would just def try and see if it fixes it. Also it wouldnt be a bad mod to have.

Re: Shift Flare

Doug's Solenoid works to fix the 3-5 shift, so that just might fix it up for ya.

Re: Shift Flare

got doug's modified direct solenoid...had it for over a month. Gotta try to get this thing in. I tent to have a small 2-3 shift flare once in a while. Happens on all tunes, but fine when stock. Got all shift pressures raised to 25%. Maybe the 2-3 shift in each tune needs tweeking.

2004 F-350 SC 4x4 6L....little bit of this...little bit of that

I've got all my shift pressures up 20%. I'll bump 3-5 another 5% and see if that helps until I get a solenoid.
