Head gaskets questions

I'm ready to purchase some head gaskets for my 05 F250. So here's my questions for you guys.

1. My truck is an 05 so do I need the 18mm gaskets

2. Is the Black Onyx and the Victor Reinz the same gaskets.

3. Or should I just go back with stock gaskets.

Thanks

Re: Head gaskets questions

Per Doug @ Gogo...I'm going stock gaskets. Something with the thicknesses being wrong with aftermarket. I have a set enroute on the brown truck as we speak.

Re: Head gaskets questions

stock mls gaskets work, your truck should have 18mm dowels but I'd check your build date to be positive.

Re: Head gaskets questions

Personally wouldn't use those Victor Reinz gaskets. You get what you pay for. Commonized motors have the 20mm gaskets. They were not built until Jan of 2006 I believe so you should be good.

I also talked to doug @nogo and when I was done I had a set of stock ones ordered. If anyone is looking for a set of head bolts boy do I have a deal for you!

Re: Head gaskets questions

We prefer to run the stock Ford gaskets and H11's studs, seems to be a solid combo.

Let us know if we can help you out, have studs on the shelf...
