sct and towing?

i have a pretty much stock 6 liter with sct livewire tuned with erics street race file is it safe to tow a trailer about 6000 lbs? or should i just get the tow tune? if so which tow tune is best? thnks guys

Im not sure bout towing on the race tune, you might want to,ask eric on that one. He told me that its safe to tow up to 10000 on the x street though so if youre only goin 6k you can do that with any other tune, no need to slow you down w a tow

my bad i am using the x street. i just dont wanna blow the head gaskets or stretch the studs. would really blow lol

Witg out studa i wouldnt wanna tow using xstreet, but just atreet would be fine. You could always call idp and ask them, they know better than i do

i have towed 11,000 on Matts SRL file and had no issue but every truck is different

I have towed up to 6-7k lbs on Matt's SRL file. I agree with yeehaw that its really depends. I just watch the EGT's, and boost vs RPM. I high boost and RPM's can kill head gaskets.

ARP's, Straight Pipe, IDP Tuned & FICM, Custom EGR Delete, Coolant Filter, PS Filter, Bypass Oil Filter, Upgraded Fuel Lines & Crossover, EGT & Fuel Pressure

not sure why but it seemed to like not being in tow haul mode, it ran way hotter in tow haul.
