Transmission leak

I have a 2003 6.0 power stroke with the 6spd automatic. Noticed a massive transmission leak coming from the bell housing inspection cover. Took it to the shop. Replaced front seal and still leaked so he pulled the tranni again and noticed the torque converter guide bushing in the front pump was severely worn he replaced the bushing front seal and the front pump gasket and pressure tested the torque converter. Transmission still leaks. Not sure what the heck is going on. Shop told me it's a remanned tranni. So previous must have had it rebuilt. What could be going on?

Check the converter hub for out of round or damage. Might not be a bad idea to check crankshaft thrust either. Are both dowel pins present in the engine rear cover? This is not a common issue. The issue is not usually transmission related either.

Thanks. That'll give me a good starting point.

Tried to pry the crank back and forth and watched the balancer while it was running. Couldn't see any obvious issues with end play.
