Acc and Battery save relays

Having some battery drain issues on my 05 f250. Does anyone know the locations of the Accessory delay relay or the battery save relay. I think the Battery save is in the cluster and may not be replaceable; may need to send it off for repair. How about the acc delay? Thanks for any help. Have a really bad draw right now.

Also, I just replaced the alt and now the truck is charging again, but I noticed that right when I start the truck, my SCT tuner shows the truck only charging around 12.5 for the first 30-45 seconds. Is this normal? Never paid attention to it before so not sure how it is supposed to charge at startup.

Re: Acc and Battery save relays

I believe the cluster controls the accessory delay feature, that's about all I can say. The charging does seem a bit low for a bit longer, but if there's a lot of juicebeing drawn, maybe it's not so weird.

Re: Acc and Battery save relays

Ok still looking for some inputs. I've pulled all the underhood fusses and replays, and went one by one pulling the dash fuses. With the test light hooked up between the neg term and cable. I have pulled all the fuses and started installing them one at a time. There seems to be no reason to it. I can install a fuse and the test will come on, then pull it and the test light will flash. Sometimes the light goes out after a few minutes other fuses the light stays on. But just when I think I found it. That fuse combo doesn't do the same. I have the cluster completely out, alt completely unplugged. Al I have left is to light the dynamite and chuck it in. I can't think of anything that was acting weird or stopped working in the past few days. Any inputs?

Re: Acc and Battery save relays

Ok I replaced the brake light switch and all seems to be good.
However wanted to verify something
So the back of the alt is charging at 14.6 but both batteries are only seeing 14v
When I start the truck it seems to struggle a bit. I'm thinking one of my batteries has a bad cell or two
Also, after I start the truck it seems to take about a minute before my SCT shows 14v hangs around 12.3

Re: Acc and Battery save relays

When you first start, the glow plugs are a big drain on the charging system. After the engine warms up and the glow plugs are de-energized, the voltage should come up.

Re: Acc and Battery save relays

Fixed! I went to replace the starter, and the main cable pulled out by hand. The stud was broke on the inside. Only the plastic case on the back of the solenoid was holding it together. I guess it was making just enough contact to allow the starter to crank at times. All this from a bad alt that showed me a battery draw, the led to a new brake light switch. Then a failed starter. Thanks to those who offered help in my threads.

Also, sorry for the multiple threads. Was up for a few days and was sleep deprived.
