So, 2006 F250, motor rebuilt a year and a half ago. HPOP
and injectors were all replaced as part of it.
We were towing out 5th wheel toyhauler in January and just after fueling up, while in the truck stop parking lot, the oil pressure gauge dropped while coasting to a stop. As soon as I press throttle, it shoots back up. Since this has happened, truck starts for a split second and then dies, but cranks and stays running the next time.
Things that have happened since then-
Oil change (motorcraft filters only since rebuild)
replaced (pulled all the cooling systems out to replace power steering pump and all the pulleys, so this was a just in case “why not while Im in there” kinda thing)
Hooked to buddies computer, ran it for a while, HPOP
pressures are good, but about 10% under “requested” when I really get on it.
Tomorrow we are making sure the valve under the filter isnt jacked, putting a real pressure gauge on the low side and air testing the HPOP
Any other things I should be looking at?
