Help! Door ajar ignition chime slow start

I know there are a lot of posts out there about the door ajar and all that. I have a base model bone stock 2005 6.0 with 280k miles. Here's my issue, have done the pb blaster in all switches. Replaced the switches with no luck. It will ding like the key is in the ignition, dome lights come on all while just sitting parked. It seems to do this more when it is cold out. I have currently taken out the fuse for dome lights and am unplugging the cluster so it's not dinging and coworkers telling me she is possessed. Now it has become very slow to start. This is currently my daily driver so i really need any advice to get it corrected. It doesn't have the BCM according to 2 dealerships so I'm at a loss as to what it can be. Instrument cluster?

Re: Help! Door ajar ignition chime slow start

put fuse back in. open either door.
close door. wait 15 minutes for over head light to go out.
open drivers door. if light comes on, the driver door switch is good.
wait for light to go out, then open passenger door.
if light comes on ,that switch is good too. if the light does not come on when a door is opened, the switch for that door is bad.

by any chance did you check to see if the interior light switch in the dash is turned on?

We have replaced both switches with new ones. The dimmer switch is not on.
