I need some help. And heat!

Okay y'all. I bought this truck used and a month later I've got no heat. Checked everything from thermostat to heater core and even everything in the glove box on. Nothing is broken, cracked, clogged or acting up. But I've got no heat out my vents. 04 6.0

Are both heater hoses hot going into the heater core?

Re: I need some help. And heat!

Stupid, I know, but have you made sure you're properly topped off?

If the engine is thoroughly warm, try running the engine up to about 1800-2000 RPMs for about a minute. While doing this, have your heater on high. If you get heat this way then you most likely have a head gasket issue, and should do a cooling system pressure test. If you get no heat, quickly go out to the engine compartment and check both heater hoses, like he said. If they are both hot, there is a problem with the blend door inside. If only one is hot then the heater core is clogged....but I've never seen that. However, if you don't have heat when revving, and both hoses are cold, then you aren't getting any flow and likely have a pump issue.
