ABS light

Does the ABS light have anything to do with alternator going out?
While driveing home battery light came only when i push the pedal(is that normal) when i let off the light went off. The power was getting weaker as i got home(i just made it home btw) on the way the abs light came once i got home i charged the batteries up found one was bad replaced it( i know i should do both but $$$) when i started the truck abs light was still on. I check alternator it is bad also im going to replaced when i get home. Should the ABS go off or is it some thing else also ...just asking because the light came on when truck almost died on the way home.

Re: ABS light

I guess if voltage to the ABS control module got too low for it to function properly it could throw the light. Mine usually turns on when the connectors in the front wheel wells get dirty or loose. When you said "push the pedal" are you talking about the brake pedal? If so, the battery light showing while braking would make sense since the ABS does require power to operate - I couldn't tell you how much - but I bet it's not insignificant.

Re: ABS light

Best to check output on the alternator, replace if bad.
If the abs light persists, pull the codes
